Do you know that France is though like a born country of the Black jack game. The old French games Chemin De Fer and French Ferme are reckoned for its parents. The game was started to be played around 1700s in the French casinos. Its family includes also members like Baccarat, Ving-Et-Un, and Seven and a Half. Americans call Ving-Et-Un twenty and one and the Australians Pontoon. Black jack was one of the first games created in Europe, which reached United States in 1800s. The game was not popular, when it was introduced for the first time and the gaming houses created a way to attract more players, by giving them bonuses for playing Black jack. The bonus was in proportion ten to one payout, in case the player had an Ace of Spades and a Jack, colored in black, no matter it was Jack of Spades or Jack of Clubs. They started to call such hands Blackjack and the game became popular with this name. The giving of bonuses did its job. Even when the casinos stopped to grant additional bonuses, the people still continued to play this amazing game. Ten years after the first Blackjack tables were created, the popularity of the game reached third place of all casino card games, played in Nevada, only Roulette and Craps were more popular.
